City Utilities Wins Event Prize

The Columbus City Utilities Team was named "Year's Best Patch" in this year's Night of a Thousand Jacks event.

Jacks_Winner.jpgThe team, which submitted 11 Disney themed Jack-o'-Lanterns in this year's competition, raised the most money over-all in support of Advocates for Children's work on behalf of local victims of child abuse an neglect.

In addition to a trophy for display, the team was awarded a $500 prize, provided by Hilliard Lyons.  However, in an act of extra generation, the team has donated their prize back to Advocates to Children.

The runner-up in this year's event was SIHO, who received a jumbo-sized basket of Halloween prizes, provided through a generous gift by Janet Ward.

In addition, this year's event featured a special competition for non-profit agencies.  The winner of this category was Adult & Child Health, who will receive a special grant of $500 from the Heritage Fund, the Community Foundation of Bartholomew County.

We are grateful to everyone who participated in this year's event!
