Help with Projects
Advocates for Children' is involved in a variety of fund raising projects throughout the year. Some of these projects require many volunteers for the project/event to be successful. The program prefers not to ask CASA volunteers for extra time, other than what is needed to advocate for their cases. As a result, we have compiled a list of individuals who are interested in being Special Project volunteers. This is a good opportunity for someone who is unable to become a CASA volunteer to contribute to our program in other ways.

Playhouse Fundraiser
This is project is our primary fundraiser. Each year, individuals or organizations design and build two backyard playhouses for children. These are usually completed in the spring and displayed at various venues in our four county region throughout the summer and fall. Raffle tickets are sold at each venue, and the winning tickets are drawn at Ethnic Expo (Columbus) and Fort Vallonia Days in October. Other venues have included Railroad Days in North Vernon and Oktoberfest in Seymour. In addition, we are always looking for new venue ideas. Individuals have also volunteered to sell raffle tickets at work or in their community.
