Advocate Profile
During 2006, 154 CASA volunteers advocated for 409 children in the five county region, a 16% increase in children served over 2005. These volunteer advocates donated more than 18,000 hours of their time. One hundred and eight of them are female and twenty-six are male. 71% of the volunteers are between ages 30 to 59 years, and 20% are 60 years or older. 32% of the volunteers have a high school education, 16% have some college, and 52% are college graduates or have post-graduate degrees. The average length of time that volunteers remain active with the program is 4½ years.
